What to ask before a kitchen renovation
A kitchen renovation works best when the pretty choices are backed by better layout, better storage, and a plan for how your home will function during the work.

Ask what is actually bothering you.
Is it storage, lighting, flow, the island, the way people cross paths, or the fact that the room just feels tired? The strongest renovation starts by naming the daily friction.
Talk about disruption early.
A kitchen is one of the hardest rooms to lose for a while. A good plan should explain access, dust control, sequencing, and how you will live through the messy part.
Make the room work before it poses.
Finishes matter, but a kitchen that photographs well and annoys you every morning is not a win. Storage, clearances, lighting, appliance locations, and durable surfaces deserve real attention.
